About Us

We are a group of combat veterans from different branches that have a love for fishing. For veterans returning from deployment or transitioning to civilian life there are many stressors and struggles. Our goal is to provide a network of support and the opportunity for a brief break through offshore fishing trips with other veterans.

My fishing trip with Reel Warriors was an amazing opportunity to connect with other veterans, while also renewing my passion for fishing. I was able to make new friendships that have continued long after my trip was completed, and I’ve witnessed many positive changes in those who went with us. Nicholas Piscitelli

Co-Founder

Nicholas joined the United States Army 2002, serving as a medic with light infantry units for 10 years. During that time he deployed to Iraq three times from 2003-2004, 2006-2008, and 2010-2011. Following his service he attended Chapman University double majoring in Health Sciences and Philosophy. He will be graduating in May of 2019 and has been accepted to Bowling Green State University’s philosophy PhD program.

Joseph Hummel

Co-Founder

Joseph served in the United States Marine Corps 1999-2004 as a Helicopter Crewchief. While serving he traveled to over 11 countries, serving in Iraq in 2003. After returning from Iraq he transitioned into civilian life getting his degree in Computer Information Systems.
